Has one ever thought about Australia's criminal justice system ( CJS ). When thinking of systems we tend to think of regimented steps, rules or tasks to work through before achieving an outcome. Australia's CJS is really no system at all, rather a number of key agencies and people such as magistrates, prosecutors, judges, lawyers etc. All having one aim; Justice!!
Occasionally these agencies and individuals come into beaureucratic conflict. A prime example being police arrest an individual yet the courts are there to protect the rights of the accused.
