Woman allegedly blows 0.334October 18, 2004
A FEMALE driver has been caught with an alleged blood-alcohol reading nearly seven times the legal limit.
RBT ... the reading would have been seven times the 0.05 limit. A Northern Territory police spokesman said the 32-year-old woman was arrested late on Friday after being spotted by police driving through Alice Springs.
"A passing police patrol spotted her ... and saw her miss a corner on a roundabout and go across the curbing," he said.
"They pulled her over on the spot and breath-tested her."
The woman allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.334.
After spending nearly 24 hours in the police station, the woman was bailed to appear before Alice Springs Magistrates Court next month, the spokesman said.
