DISGRACED former NSW detective Roger Rogerson was arrested today and charged in South Australia for a corruption offence.A South Australian police spokeswoman said a 63-year-old man was arrested and charged by the anti-corruption branch this afternoon.
Rogerson was formally charged with "procure abuse of public office", she said.
He will appear in Adelaide's Magistrates Court on Friday.
Rogerson is awaiting a sentence after pleading guilty in the NSW District Court to giving false evidence to a Police Integrity Commission hearing on May 25, 1999.
His wife, Anne Melocco, pleaded guilty to the same charge.
