Ok i admit it i am a bibliophile. Sounds sordid doesn't it..lol. I never knew i was til today. One of my professors is also one....infact much worse than me and he it was he who came to the conclusion that i am too!!
I just can't go past a bookstore without being drawn in, and once i am in it,i find it difficult to exit without something in my hand. I spend more on books than food i think, although it sure as hell don't look like it!!!
My professor was telling me that he has over 5,000 books and no family to hand them on to. Well whilst i would have loved to have said..."pick me pick me"......i refrained ( when am i going to get time to sort through all those books, let alone read one). I have probably 1,000 with about 50 not read yet....LOL......but i do have about 6 on the go at the moment and i have found this cool author Alexander Mc Call, and am now hooked on his stuff, so am hoping to do some serious reading over xmas. Many of my books are Academic, i love them too. I have learned so much from them, many written by my peers, i still use many as references.
Back to the professor, he told me he has started writing inside some of the pages of his books.....just little quips.......thoughts etc, so when he keels over, wherever his books may end up, people will have a part of him in there!
How cool :o)

I love books too, I always have two or three on the go at once, everything from trash fiction to Marx! But yesterday I just had to give away (well sell really) three large boxes of books because I'm moving house and we just can't take them all. So I had to do a cull. I'll miss them, many read once, twice, three times...sometimes I wish I could be in prison so all I had to do was read, bliss!
