Blog Cliques.

Over the weekend after a little fiddling of my own blog, i managed to get a an hour or so of "blog surfing" in. I came across a blog written by a 20 something woman who is ready to be picked up as an article clerk..hmmm that may be aussie talk, ummmmmm.....she's fresh out of law school and is ready to go into a firm as a junior.
After reading some of her posts, i get the feeling she is rather "stiff" in her personality, lol..perhaps coming from NY does that! Ok i'm kidding.
Anyhow, her last post was on blog cliques. Her feelings expressed distinct loathing of people who linked their blogs with others. She called them "virtual communities".....clever i suppose. She goes onto to say how uncomfortable it makes her feel when visiting these blogs. Everyone knows each other............they write about each other..........some even band together for one big megga blog........they visit each other etc. It takes away the idea that SHE should be the reader......because she is not in the clique. Her last sentance......"I DEFY CLIQUES."
How i have to refrain myself from gathering a bunch of us altogether......post comments on her blog, talk amongst ourselves and then link her.......LMFAO...defy indeed!!!! I know.....i'm warped!

WHAT??? I'm in a clique??? I've never been in a clique my entire life!! But hell, we're a friendly clique so long as she doesn't tell us how much she hates cliques... her loss.

When I think of Cliques, I think of snobby people. And none of the folks I am linked to are snobby. Heck, if you find a snobby mofo on my blog buddy list, let me know and I'll delete them :)
What are you reading crazy people's blogs for anyhow? LOL!
Did I mention I DEFY TWITS? Let's go spam her :P

Grrr....Blogger ate my comment to you. Let me try this again:

I have NEVER been in a clique in my entire life. At least not one that anyone WANTED to be in! LMAO!

Sounds like this woman should keep her blog private or only allow her friends in, (assuming she HAS friends).

One of the things I like most about blogging and linking is that you get to know little bits about other peoples lives and can freely comment about something "on the table." This is something I never found with messageboards or chatrooms, which usually carry thier own cliques who tend to shun newbies. How "high school" can you be? LOL!

Most of the blogs I link to are people who's writings I enjoy, although there are some that I don't agree with, but still like seeing what they say. I have found some really great people thru blogging and I love it. Plus it's a great outlet and is good for my sanity.

Take care Michelle and have a great week. Please feel free post that woman's blogsite so we CAN all go post comments and link to her, just because we can! See, I too am a bit warped! hee hee hee

i didn't even know i had a clique.

now she's got me all self-conscious. am i an elitist? or just lonely.

i think i just need all the hits i can muster to feed my ego. if anyone would like to link to me, please do so perhaps if enough people link to me, i won't be a vile elitist, but an all-inclusive populist.

save me from myself.

take that only as serious as you'll allow yourself.

ps. i'm from new york, michelle. we're not stiff, just neurotic...and in a hurry.

Yaaaay...my clique it grows!!! You know, cliques remind me of the "barbiedoll, clueless" type gals at high school. The ones that dressed just right, hang out with just the right people, etc. All whilst i was with my group of 3 girlfriends, average looks, great personalites, making sure no teachers were coming so the clique gals didn't get caught smoking! We were never teased, just thought of as nothing types i guess...faded into the background.

Inanna ~ me either, i hated all that stuff as a kid.

Lois ~ Lmfao @ defy twits...htp://womanofthelaw.blogspot.com/

I visit these "crazy" people just to give me a reality check now and again! No snobs on my blogroll, everyone has its own unique personality to bring to the party!! More the merrier.

IIHAH--how can you possibly be lonely? Anyone who posts a picture of Opus tripping through the dandelions should have people BEGGING to be let into their clique.

Maybe learning to break into the blogosphere is like learning to navigate a party where you don't know anyone--you can either stand in the corner and complain that no one's talking to you, or you can get out there and take an interest in OTHER PEOPLE for a change. The only blogs I read are written by people whom I've never met.
