The merrymaking doesn't really get under way until Christmas is overJanuary 08, 2005

Christmas is over,The goose has been consumed,And Mummy's worn-out carcass feels as if it's been exhumed.

Some people find the immediate aftermath of the holidays to be a time of tedium and anticlimax. But I don't think it's anything at all like my last honeymoon. For those of us who have laboured mightily to make the holiday season a happening thang , the merrymaking doesn't really get under way until now, when it's all over but you're still shouting.
When the last piece of panforte is dislodged from the last filling, and the last bit of tinsel is whisked from under the sofa or - as happened to us one memorable year - out of the pug's rectum, where it dangled like a festive fuse from a furry Christmas cracker … er, sorry, just lost my train of thought there. I think what I was trying to say is that it is only now that holidays are safely past, like a first marriage or freight train full of toxic waste, that one can really sit back and enjoy them. So people, its over for another year.....enjoy!

I've always enjoyed the holiday season, it's just that some people get in my way of enjoying it more.
We put the decorations away last week, but we keep finding alittle thing here or there. Seems like someone or something doesn't want us to forget.

Ditto to all of that Michelle....enjoy I intend to!.... and what is it with animals and the consuming of innapropriate objects that then appear hanging, rather unpleasently, from the rear end? heh. Been there recently with one of the cats! Tsk.
