Oh to be so popular
I
had rather an odd day today. I was supposed to be in court today, and even that in itself was a drama, changing from a full blown trial to the lesser option of being charged with a summary offence, and hence going from county court to magistrates court. Summary offences can be heard in both, but in the Magistrates court the fine can't exceed $2,000 and the jail term 12 months. Anyhow, the "baddie" took a plea and my kid/client didn't have to go through the trauma of having to go under cross examination, and i got to go home after just a few minutes!
Do you have a great family Dr? I do. Infact, his so great, patients come from hundreds of miles just to get a consultation with him or his wife. I rang today to see if i could get an appointment just for my yearly check up and chat, full well knowing i'd have to wait weeks to see him. LOL, i can't get in till first week of August!!!! I never get to see him if it's an emergency..or for stuff like an ear infection for "A", which she suffers from every time she gets a cold, i always am stuck with the Dr from Pakistan, who's been in the country 2 weeks! If i feel this kind of Dr aint got a clue i always say"hey why don't we get Dr X to have a look too! Dr's concultations are quite expensive. I pay for a 15 min consultation $52, then i get the gov rebate which brings it back to $28 dollars. Sometimes if i go and have a 30 min one.....we usually chat about the kids....work...travels...latest in medicine...LOL as well as whatever i have wrong with me, it can cost me $90, less gov rebate $45. It doesn't pay to get ill.
"A" got her half yearly school report today. My goodness, i am so proud of her, she got the top in every possible area except, ART and Sport!,and then she got the second highest mark. Heh, just like her mum..hehehehe. Except the comments by the teacher are much more favorable than mine ever were! What a gal, and the best thing is she helps the other kids :o)
