Long Weekend

A long weekend instore for us Aussies. A celebration of the Queens Birthday, whose actual birthday is in April, so go figure that one! Personally, i'm not a monarchist, although i do respect the British history. Australia lost her ties with Britain many years ago when the Australia Act was signed roughly 30 years ago preventing England interferring with Australian government. However, i do wish the Queen a happy belated birthday and thank her for Monday off on behalf of 21 million aussies :o)
We have so much going on here in my little suburb by the sea. A triathlon is planned here tomorrow and the closest i get will be my driveway at 7am when they all cycle past on their way to the beach for the swim leg!
The USS Boxer is in port with a ship load of American marines, i said SHIP not what you thought i said! The football is on, markets,film festival, car show,jazz festival and some hippie festival further south, where camping just aint my style, no power point, no Michelle! So i am off to do some gardening, taking "A" to see Madagascar and generally enjoy the sun. You all have a great weekend.
