Happy Weekend

Well i guess my plan didn't eventuate. It's 9.30pm, i promised myself that tonight i'd go to bed at 9.30 and catch up on some much needed zzz's. Look where i am!
Been a busy day here, like what day isn't? Although not in court this week, i still chaired a meeting this morning with some associates. It was interesting time, i still have a very uncomfortable feeling though when speaking to them. All are old enough to be my parents, and have kids my age. I just get the feeling they don't take to me being the one who does the delegating and organisation of cases. One of the women infact tried to pull me up over an issue that i dealt with that wasn't by the book so to speak. I took the initiative after a particular issue with a child arose and it potentially could have blown up in my face, but i took the kids welfare first and the consequences second. After it was over, i did let my superiors know just incase of any back lash and it was all ok'd. Well, i related the story today to everyone and this woman blew the living crap right out of me. "Thats not the way we've been told to handle issues, you could have been in so much trouble, if it were me i'd have let the issue continue"..yada yada.......you stupid woman! As i said to her, all i could think of was my own child in this particular situation, no way would i want her to suffer the way this child did/was. I guess i'm an activist!

I know i have spoken about "phishing" on here before, many of you had no idea what it was. If you check out my "itty bitty browser" there to the right, a paper has just been released on the subject, please have a read, it is very interesting.

It's tent city here in Townsville. We've just been invaded by 20,000 American soldiers! They are here to play "War Games" with our Aussie soldiers! Not seen any of them, but i've had planes and helicopters flying over, they should have a great time.

This morning i took "A" to school, i love our chats in the car on the way to and home from school. As i pulled up in front of the school, i could see a bunch of kids runing towards the gate. It was "A"s little friends, all wearing "red noses". Muuuum...have you got $2 for a red nose, i got no money left in my purse, i spent it on frozen ice"! So good ole mum came to the rescue with the $2, quick kiss goodbye, and a wave to her friends, and off i went.
When i picked her up this afternoon, she had the red nose badge, they'd sold out of noses!! So after discussing her day, she asked what "SIDS" stood for. I told her and explained what happens, my fears when she was a baby, and the possible causes.
"A" said, " i am not smoking when i get older, i am not having a baby when i get older. I will adopt one when i finish University". Why don't you want one of your own, i enquired?" "Hell no, no way am i going through that pain are you kidding"? "i'll buy one!!" LOL "You'll buy a baby", i exclaimed", "well not exactly", she said. "I want a kid who is my age", yep. i'll adopt a 9 yold", then iwon't get the poohy nappies, the baby sick, no sleep, and everything else". "Uh huh, you'll get a 9 yold that throws hissy fits, argues back and think money comes from a tree in the back garden"..........silence................."Ok, maybe i will just buy an adult and all the crap will be gone"!!

What could i say?
