Wedding One Liners!
Iwas so looking forward to my appointment with my manicurist yesterday, yes i know, i really AM a princess, leg waxed...nails...facial, what can i say. Anyhow, that's not my point, i did have a great time catching up with her, she's just returned after having a month off for her wedding. Michelle ( yes we share the same name!) showed me photos and then told tales of the usual funny moments that go along with weddings. She also shared a few awkward moments too; which got the both of us to thinking, have you ever been to a wedding and made a derogatory comment about the food....drinks....dress....reception...music etc loud enough for the families or the couple themselves to hear?
Personally, i have not, however i did attend the wedding of a close girlfriend, she did not include me in the wedding party as i was too tall ( i'm not, but she was only 4'11,), so she gave that job to 2 of our other close girlfriends. This didn't bother me, but did another close friend who mentioned out loud in the church our friends decision! Same friend also at the top of her voice let slip that the wedding was costing $15,000................not much today i guess, but 17 years ago, was alot of money. The reception for this wedding was at a very very classy well known restaurant. Upon learning the seating arangements, i was seated next to same friend. Her poor husband was seated opposite her and right in front of the kitchen door! Everytime a waiter came out, the door would bang into Russells head! Well, this became a running joke between everyone on our table, that, and the lack of food! Said friend again could not resist in leaving a note upon us all leaving that we were headed for the nearest Mc Donalds for a feed at midnight!
till next time, Michelle.
