$115 LATER.........

Yes that's what it cost me by the time i took "A" to the doctors...$55 but i do get $25 back when i send the reciept into medicare. Her various medicines cost $60, this included anitbiotics, eardrops, nasal spray, shower cap and ibuprophen.
We love our doctor, he and his wife are both GPs and OBGYN's. He was there when "A" was born...even gave her a soft toy. One of his boys goes to the same school as "A".........very nice family and just brilliant doctors. So much so that to get an appointment with him, you must wait at least 6 weeks, people come from miles away to see him. I always have various appointments made well in advance, if need be, i cancel them and make another, just to be sure i have one if "A" is sick.
Anyhow, poor old "A" has tropical ear as wellas a middle ear infection AND a chest infection. LOL....Dr V told her that she wasn't to go swimming for a week, that is put her under the water in our pool. He then told her no bath or shower water must go near her ear. She took it to mean nooooooooooooo shower or bath...YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! Wrong!!...He soon clarified what he meant..lol.She thought she was on to something :o)

Brian~ I will pass your sympathies onto "A"....she'll be duly impressed!! I have health insurance...we pay nothing if we need operations etc. If i was on welfare, or had a low paying job then what i paid yesterday would be trimmed back by 70%. I guess its a fair system...those who can afford to pay do so and those that can't are covered by the government. The same as medicines...if your on welfare, the costs are minimal..as is if you are over 55......or on sickness benefits.....and pensions.

Jack~Roflmfaoooooooo...i'd like to say i'm surprised at your little drinking spree...Brrrrrrr..my bones ache at thought of 8F...turn that heater up and stay warm. If you look at my little weather pixie on the right...its 7 am and 30c..=90dgs.....i shall send you some photos to show what your missing!

Gem~ "A" is doing very nicely ty. Yes health care is expensive. I must admit, it works well here because those that can afford to pay the prices do so, and those that can't such as the unemployed, ill, pensioners etc it's virtually all free and medicines are very cheap to them also.
