Full Day

What a day! I was out of the house by 8.15am this morning, "A" in tow. People in this town, actually Australia, think that they will all starve to death if they can't get access to a damn shopping centre for 2 days. So, anticipating a huge crowd, we left home early. The shopping centre we went to was the one that held the easter egg decorating competition for all schools here. It just so happens that "A"s grade won the competition!! Not bad for 20 9 yolds. So, she was desperate for me to view the blue ribbon hanging off the brightly decorated egg hanging from the roof of the centre. I thought it would take us forever to find it, but "A"s eyesight is spot on, and sifting through hundreds of eggs, and craning my neck towards the sky was not to be, thankfully. It was right in front of the supermarket, "A" was so excited, her dad is the manager of the supermarket and he will get to look at it everyday...LOL.
She asked me yesterday why "Good Friday" was named. I queried her about her religon class at school and she said they hadn't touched on it. So, i proceeded to tell her the story, her reply........"geeez, friday wasn't that good for Jesus", i would have called it bad Friday, and Good Monday"!! Heh, she's such a pumpkin!
Yes, the stores were busy busy, Saturday is my normal grocery shopping day, so i was peeed off to see so many others.
We quickly did what we had to do and raced home and put stuff away. I decided to take "A" to see "ROBOTS" at the cinema. I don't what you guys pay to see a movie, but i go to this art house cinema, its atmosphere is great and they charge me $22 for "A" and myself to see a movie complete with drinks and popcorn. The most expensive place here, charges $34 for the same. Infact, a friend of mine took her 3 boys and her hubby and was stung $75!! I don't think she's been back...LOL
Back from the movie, i cleaned the house up, did the ironing, put the sprinklers on, vacumed the floors, and of course fed us.
Tomorrow, i am off to the markets by the sea. Of course this wont happen till we finish our easter egg hunt! The markets are a great place to relax and grab a coffee or an ice cream. The stall holders must either make, bake, sew, grow, sculpt or paint what they are selling. Of course, there are organic farm produce there too.
For now, i am off to finish watching Collateral on dvd, must say i quite enjoy it so far. It's nearly 10.30pm and i am buggered and need sleep. So for now its me over and out, enjoy your day :o)
