The above headlines are a pot pouri of info that i heard bandied abut this week. The first applies to a so called promise that the coalition wishes to bring in if elected on the 7th of Feb. The "Three Strikes Your Out" rule will apply to those criminals who have committed 3 break in's, burglary offences etc. They will automatically receive a minumum of 2 years jail. Did this work in the NT???

Drug Court is part of the 13.1 million Nth Qld drug court trials. Its main aim is to offer rehabilitation and self discipline to those offenders which are offered the program. Its main aim to reduce drug dependancy and criminal activity. Whilst the success rate is minimal in its early stages, just to able to have one person graduate must be a bonus.

Parenting Classes is the latest and greatest idea that has sprung into our illustrious Prime Ministers head. Does he honestly think those who actually need these classes will attend? The funny thing is though, similar classes have been utilised in London and New York, both proven huge successes, especially New York.

Murders in LA appear to be down, the alleged main reason being more cops on the beat. Well i am here to dispute the fact that its soul reason is because of the extra cops.......BULL.
I bet you if further research was carried out we'd see social, demographic and environmental factors ALL come into play. Of course more police influence would contribute, however no way the soul factor.
